Application Process

Agencies can inquire about a grant application after reviewing our Grants Overview page and the guidelines listed below. The Frist Foundation reviews grants on an ongoing basis. Preference will be given to agencies focused on underserved communities and organizations impacting a large numbers of Nashvillians.

HOW TO APPLY


First-time applicants:

After reviewing the Grants Overview page, email Program Manager Annie Axe with a brief letter of intent that includes:

  • 1) Your agency’s mission
  • 2) Number of clients served in the last year
  • 3) Summary of the agency need
  • 4) Anticipated cost
  • 5) 501(c)(3) designation

Existing partners:

After reviewing the Grantmaking Guidelines page, email Corinne Bergeron or Annie Axe with a brief letter of intent that includes:

  • 1) Number of clients served in the last year
  • 2) Summary of the agency need
  • 3) Anticipated cost
The next steps will be determined by staff and might include a phone call, site visit and/or a formal application (see possible questions here). The Frist Foundation accepts letters of intent on a rolling basis with board meetings in January, April, July and October.
